About Us

Don't Walk Alone

Welcome! Thanks for visiting our site.

We are a group of faith based and like minded yet diverse people with a common goal. Reaching out to those who are struggling, to share the hope we have found. We come from a variety of backgrounds but have this in common, hurts, habits & hang-ups have impacted us all negatively. Our collective goal is to turn those negatives into positives by offering a safe place for support and hope and love.

"Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter."

-- Izaak Walton

Every Journey of hope requires a first step! We're here to walk with you.

We offer Large Group Fellowship & Worship

The Celebrate Recovery Program is offered through the Hope Starts Today ministry of the First Baptist Church of Gwinn, MI. It's a unique congregation focused on healing. It's for ANYONE and EVERYONE who has a "hurt, habit, or hang-up" in the community, as well as our own church body - It's not restricted to people struggling with just an addiction. We all have issues that may be interfering with our fellowship with God and others. Therefore, we all qualify!

We offer Small Share Group & Step Study

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program that helps us deal with life’s “hurts, hang-ups, and habits.” Healing takes place among a network of brothers and/or sisters, making a small group experience an essential part of Celebrate Recovery. We have small groups to help work through the Christ centered, Biblical & balanced, 12-step curriculum, based on the 8 recovery principles found in the Beatitudes. Come and join us as we Celebrate Recovery!

The Serenity Prayer

God, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change. The courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace; Taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is; Not as I would have it; Trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will; So that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with You forever in the next. AMEN -Reinhold Niebuhr.
