The iconic Italian rooster jug or 'la brocca del gallo has been part of the italian table setting since the 16th century. It was originally commissioned by the noble Florentine family, the Medici, to artisans as a gift to the peasants as a symbol of prosperity and good fortune. The Rooster Jug is identified by the shape of a rooster and majolica decor however we have reinterpreted the decor to bring it to the IVO table
